Centre For Happy Elderly People also has a Geriatrics Association for old people. Activities Include:
• Monthly meetings
• Birthdays
• IDOP (Int’l Day of Older Persons) Activities
• Elder Abuse Awareness Activities
• Exercise on meeting days
• Health Check Ups – Free cardiovascular (BP) and Endocrine check (Blood Sugar)
• Home visit
• Spiritual Gerontology
• Preaching Station meeting the spiritual needs of the older persons
A geriatrics association with membership of over 200. The association is a welfare based association.
CHEP Elders’ Forum Objectives :
- Discuss issues affecting old people in various localities of Lagos
- Celebration of the International Day of Elderly Citizens
- Old Peoples rights advocacy
